Anyone use PP337 pedals ?

I'm using PP237s and they're great, but heavy. At that price, if PP337s are
an improvment, I say go for it.

I you want them, I have some S/H Look PP236s (IIRC) which are scratched=20
but still have perfectly smooth bearings. A low price to a loving home.=20

I don't know if you payed much attention to m y pedals at the weekend, I
had some old and very tatty Campag 'Look' Pedals. They were replaced
years ago then retrieved from the spares box a few months ago as they
were better than the Look Pedals that I was using. The right hand one
makes an aweful squeek, new cleats haven't solved the problem, only made
it switch from left to right !. The same shoes on my other bikes are not
squeeky so I conclude its the pedals. Listening to it for 1000 miles in
2 weeks from LE to JOG will drive me mad ! I'll mail you Jon.

Surrey Quays) 165g seems OK

They were £32.95 in Sheffield Decathlon last week. :-( 165g is indeed OK,
lighter than some of the (a little bit) more expensive models which seem to
be about 180g

The lighter models are lighter because they're made out of plastic. I
think it's worth investing in PP357, PP296 or PP396 for the real deal.

Sale started 1.7.04.
BTW the 7.1 series road bike is £179 on the website but £259 in the
shop/brochure; you can't buy on line but you could try having them for
trades something or other if you wanted a dirt cheap hack. ;-)

PP337s are not plastic though are they. I wouldn't use the plastic ones,
they look like 'My First Look Pedals' . I have actually ordered some PP357s
which are lighter than what I was using and lighter than the old PP256s on
#1RI which are lighter than the Campag ones that need replacing. Thus the
PP256s will replace the worn out ones, the PP357s will replace the PP256s.

I got a new pair of plastic ones last year as they came cheap with the
shoes, I did not realise that the pair I had just junked (the same
model,237 I think) were plastic, but they had worn very badly where
the cleat rubbed, I think this is exacerbated by red ones. Shiny new
black 337's ready to roll, bet they won't be shiny tomorrow after
Battle and Back!

Avaast improvement; a nice positive click and they seem more solid,
don't make the hills of East Sussex any lower though ;-(

Indeed. I have a pair of plaggy ones on the Baron for that reason, but if
used daily they will wear out quite quickly.
