Scapes are the new shoots of a planted garlic bulb. They have a very short season and they can be surprisingly expensive -- but they are terrific! If you like garlic, you have to try them at least once.

Wow! The one I am signing up for is $450 for the whole summer, about 16-19 weeks I think.
