I have joined gym that has a pool as I enjoy swimming and feel I am more
likely to keep up with an exercise I enjoy.
It is a 15m pool and I am doing 40 lengths each time. I alternate lengths
between breaststroke and backstroke. this takes about half an hour.
Can anyone advise me on whether this is a good exercise regime? I go 3 to 4
times a week. We have just had half-term and I went everyday during this
last week but I can' t keep that up during term times.
Should I add any weight training to this? If so, what?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Liz
I don't swim.
But, that is because I don't enjoy it.
Your wise choice is to pick an exercise that you enjoy. Then you have a
better chance of keeping it up.
The "Best Exercise In The World" doesn't do you a darned bit of good if
you hate it.
Any "Fairly Good Exercise" that you do repeatedly is far better than the
"Best Exercise In The World", that you can only drag yourself to do a
couple of times a month.
You made a good choice.
