Sheldon, I'm sorry, but I have a problem with you.

You're going to try to tell me that a movie about a couple of guys
buttf**king is a "wonderful love story"? You're SCREWED UP, man!!

And what's the deal with your stupid beard? Don't you know that it
looks like absolute [censored]? If you wear a beard like that, you don't
have the common sense you were born with!

Sorry, pal, but you simply have no credibility with me. Your
judgment is obviously rather seriously impaired.

    Nice troll, hater.

    Or: Nice hate, troller.

He's been in Santa Cruz CA for a bicycle ride in the
redwoods... and coincidentally for his daughter's graduation from
UC Santa Cruz. We enjoyed the cool sea breeze and barking sea
lions along the cliffs. Good surfing too!

When in Santa Cruz, don't miss the Big Trees and Pacific RR and the
giant dipper. They both run on rails.

Little to do with bikes, but for your amusement: after several
months in Santa Cruz, I had noticed the rail tracks on Chestnut
Street, but never thought much about what ran on them. (Maybe I
thought they were disused trolley tracks, such as existed where I
grew up.) The Roaring Camp beach train only runs regularly in
summer. So one summer day I was sitting on a friend's porch on this
quiet residential street, and this _train_, not a trolley, but a
moderately large diesel locomotive pulling a car packed with kids
waving out the windows and hollering, comes thundering down the
middle of the street and out of sight. I nearly fell off the porch,
and my friend kept talking as if nothing had happened - since the
train made two daily round trips in summer, she was used to it.

To make up for that, Union Pacific runs a tri-weekly "Cement Train" to
the RMC Cement plant in Davenport, 11 miles north of Santa Cruz. The
train usually has three diesel units pulling up to 36 or so cars (half
and half, 100t covered cement hoppers and 100t coal hoppers). It
seems even more incongruous than the Big Trees and Pacific tourist
train as it passes the boardwalk and beach at no more than 10mph, bell
    ringing, horn sounding.

  4. It's just that I get really tired of these dingbat people who think
they're God's gift to mankind merely because they happen to know
    something about bicycles.

So are you saying his beard looks good?

    Sheldon's a dingbat? How ironic.

And how do you know he thinks he's God's gift to mankind? It's highly
doubtful especially since he doesn't believe in Gods so he couldn't be a
gift of God, now could he?

    I think it's sexy.

So why'd you look at his website?

And this is rec.bicycles.tech. So here, somebody who knows
a lot about bicycles and graciously shares that knowledge pretty
much is God's gift to mankind.

  8. "So are you saying his beard looks good?
    I think it's sexy."

Yeah, I guess a buttf**ker would think that.

"It's much more flattering than the sheet you're wearing."

Aw, c'mon, tell us how you really feel. Go ahead and defend
    buttf**king.

Actually, it makes perfect sense that someone who wears a beard that
looks like [censored] would think buttf**king is just wonderful.

You sure like to say buttf**king and it's turning me on. You wouldn't
happen to be in the southern California area? If so, perhaps we could meet?
