It's often pretty windy so it may be a bit of a challenge
for the ancient rider like myself, but it looks like it
could be pretty neat. My brother lives in Va Beach and is
planning to ride with me. He's been training

The course is about 17 miles, but I'm wondering if it
would be possible to sneak a double.
I've done it a coupla times. Piece of cake if it's not
raining. Yes, it can get a bit windy, but you deal with it.
A double would be no problem. And if you can't hack that
second trip, there's a truck at the turnaround point to
take you back.
Absolutely flat except for the 2 (each way) overpasses, and
the slight rise from the parking area.
You drive to the Eastern Shore end (free), and ride to the
first tunnel, then back to the parking lot.
My son did it when he was 8 on his BMXer, with no
preparation other than being an 8 year old.
