Any roadie groups in Brunswick area?

Not from there, as you'll notice. I’ve been riding for 4 years now, & most of that [99%] has been solo. Group rides are not essential for having a good time on a bike. 🙂

i picked up an OCR1 a few months back - love it!
the mascots group (although in richmond) sound like the go for starting out with a group ride. they head through the city and then onto st kilda from there...
have been meaning to give them a go, but have been enjoying riding solo in different areas...

thanks for your help guys, I'll look into Mascot and those clubs. Looking for bikes is far more fun than looking for clubs though!

i live in the area and ride down beach road most weekends with some friends. you are welcome to join us if you wish.

we don't race or anything. we just enjoy being outdoors and stopping for the coffee.

i did RTB last weekend. it was freezing!

Maybe look up Darebin BUG also? They might have a few rides on offer?

Thanks for the invite Superdog, I'll keep it in mind. First I have to find a bike, I've been looking at the OCRs, but i test rode an OCR and then a TCR straight after, I'm starting to think the TCR is the way to go. I have an XTC mountain bike which is quite a racey geometry, so the lower bars on the TCR suited me better. they've got a TCR2 at lygon st cycles going for $1699 which is the 105 version - but I might have to fork out for the ultegra TCR1, not because I think i need the ultegra, 105 would be fine, I just prefer the colour! the 2 is this bland grey, but the 1 is matt black - it looks hot! Its a nicer wheel set too and I'm sure i can live with the higher spec group set!

ahh the dilemmas of a bike purchase!!
