regardless of the drugs used (or not!), nationalities of alleged riders etc,
i wonder if there may be a conspirasy to undermine the TdF as a whole, by
some (as yet unknown) organisation, wanting to start a rival tour?

    the Troll de France, eh?

As there is city called Frances in Kentucky, why not the Tour de Frances ?

  6. Monte - I don't think there's a Frances in KY, but there are other
notable cities like Paris, London, Versailles, Frankfort, Glasgow and
    Monkey's Eyebrow.

It's Paddy McBoggy trying to pay ASO back for telling hime to stick
his GodAwful ProTour up his Ass

    We'll always have Paris, Texas.

Yes, its a Spanish conspiracy to make the Vuelta the pre-eminent tour.
    That explains Fuentes.

Or its Boonen and the rest of the sprinters hiring the Dutch mafia to make
the tour of Holland the pre-eminent tour.

I would suggest that for next year ASO radically change the format to
national teams of randoneurs with the a minimum stage distance of 300km with
the average distance in the 400km range. At least one stage should be 600km.
Have twelve stages with a rest day between each stage. Teams should consist
of five randoneurs with no overall individual winner. Rather, teams will
place on the basis of the combined overall times of their best three riders.
    ;-)

    Neither does Materazzi.
