Cool stuff. It's neat to see these chopper bike styles being made.

It's $169.34 at the Wal*Mart web site. Just a bit less than the similar
Schwinn Stingray chopper bicycle. Those would be some very expensive
tires.

Anyone remember the 60's chopper bikes ...?
(Schwinn I think)

They were 5 speed 'stick' shift, small front wheel, shock absourber
forks, tail finned witha 'sissy' bar, and draw back handle bars ...?

Now 'those' where chopper bikes ...

Here's another cool chopper bicycle: 'Rain City Choppers project bike'
(http://www.raincitychoppers.net/projectbikes.htm).
Expect to see a chopper bike from Redline sometime soonish. It looks
like that bike uses the same size of rear tire as the Schwinn Stingray.
Build quality of the bike also looks much better than the Wal*Mart
chopper bikes (and I'm sure it will be much more expensive too).

I went back to the Walmart site and looked at thew different views. That
is actually not the bike I saw in Walmart for $99.
The one I saw had tires almost identical to the Dyno Fireball.
The one in the above picture just has a zig-zag tread pattern.

at my local [censored]'s sporting goods, thaey had the super wide stingray
tires and tubes... If anybody wants some, i'll buty them for you and
ship them (additional cost)

You could certainly get more use out of it than just the tires.
Especially for $170. Carefully modify a uni hub to equal the number of
holes in that front rim and have a pimp@$$ wheel. You could use the rear
rim too. That seat looks almost uniable. Some pedals...I think thats a 2
piece crank...stem...bars. Definately worth it if you can find use for
half of these parts.

Oh yeah. They were from Schwinn and many imitators (don't know who was
imitating who).

Plus, those were *bikes,* not wannabe motorcycles. That seems to be the
trend with these newer ones, possibly inspired by the popularity of
today's art motorcycles. These bikes are far less functional than those

Today I saw a really cool whitewall 24 x 3" cruiser tire called the "Fat
Daddy-O" or something like that. Sorry, can't remember the name. It
would make a great tire for a "street MUni" or something. My local Bob's
Bike Shop has a collection of several outlandish-looking cruiser bikes,
including the Schwinn with the massive rear rim & tire.

I've seen the one Darren's put together, but I don't know how it can be
a "chopper." It's hard to "chop" a unicycle, as the frame has to
basically stand straight up & down. Making it more curvy and less
functional will probably go a long way to making it a nice cruiser uni
though.

I wonder how it would look if you tried to make it look like the front
fork of a cruiser motorcycle. Like have two huge round chrome tubes
connecting to a large metal plate that the seat tube is connected to.
Might look cool, then again, it might look lame.
