  1. This morning was raining & windy. So I togged myself up in the wet weather gear fro the cycle ride
into town this morning. First time of trying the waterproof overshoes. The worked very well. Feet
stayed warm and dry. Mind you, it was the now usual crosswind on the way out and headwind on the way
back, so another bracing ride home. It's very dull & gloomy out there, so I was the usual vision of
bright yellow with a bit of black (leggings & overshoes) with acres of reflectives & front & rear
    lights on :-)

    Cheers, helen s

Quick ride to the shops this afternoon to buy those esssentials coffee, washing up liquid, wine and
[censored]. What seemed to be a slight mist on my outward journey turned into a horizontal, raging storm
    on the return journey.

Wet, wet, wet. Water's all around me ... I couldn't feel either my fingers or toes, never mind their
interest in love (or bad songs).

Oh dear. I hope you have thawed out by now. I was well wrapped up and warm as toast whilst cycling!

When did washing up liquid become an essential?

Essential for cleaning coffee mugs, wine glasses and ashtrays.

Obviously a long time since you were a student then. What you do is beg/borrow/steal _more_ mugs,
wine glasses and ashtrays (they are interchangeable in a pinch anyway).
