I used to be a runner but in the past 7 years haven't been able to run. I am at a point where I'm not even working out(with leg/foot usage) and randomly get pain and swelling on my right ankle. The worst pain is on the outside and rear close to the achilles, about 2 inches above the heel. After x-rays,mri, and bone scan,a foot and ankle surgeon said the "Os Trigonium" was loosened from the rest of the bone. When it swells it hurts more when pointing toes away from me (plantar flexion). Doctor said arthroscopic surgery would be required. Has anybody had this surgery before? If so, could you give some feedback regarding your rehabilitation, satisfaction with the procedure....etc. I am a 5'8 male,45yrs old and weigh 192 pounds.
Since you decided to cross-post this -- and I cannot -- and I do not know which group is home for you I have answered in all three. Next time it might help if you were to set a reply to group when you post something like this so that those of us who cannot cross-post among support groups and such have an easier time answering you.
