Andorra in Winter?

be heading. Time to dust off the old plastic boots :-)

Anywhere particular, or is it all cheap in general?

I hear there's bargain motorcycle gear too, and was hoping to get a few
bits - how am I going to carry it all home?? :-)

Vat free and cheaper than here. Most shops just on the border.

Here are some photos I've put up of Casa, with the border green grass
then all the development all surrouned by 2500m plus peaks.

Above the town is the pas to Soldeu and the main ski areas.

If the boots are Koflachs beware that they can get very brittle with
age. I had not used mine for three of four years and took them for a bit
of a play in the white stuff this year. They cracked up towards the end
of a relatively short day and I only escaped a very uncomfortable
descent because the glued on Yetis held them together!

I would therefore recommend taking yours out for a bit of a walk before
you plan on using them...

Photos look really good. My 1:40,000 map of Andorra arrived yesterday -
it's amazing how small the place is! If I go I've already sussed out
two places I have to go - the France/Spain/Andorra border points so I
can have a foot in each country. Ok, I don't have three feet, but you
know what I mean...

It's actually got a helluv lot of peaks. In the cicerone guide there is a
MEGA Cuillin
type ridge route covering the frontier peaks for 100miles.

Aye, it's weird. We parked in bit of wasteground, and across the burn was
andorra and pay parking.

I think Andorra gets a hard time. Yesterday and today the Tour of Spain
cycle
race, the Vuelta (foowelta), passed thru some amazing scenery, 35km harpin
roads.

The shops, particularly the wee one hidden in a square, in Pas delCasa
have a range of brands and types.
