Wow, sweet looking kids. Of course, I'm jealous as hell of all unicycle
riding daughters. And I never had the guts to put my kid up on my
shoulders.

Looks like you all had great time and from the looks of it, I'll bet the
girls all slept like babies that night. 🙂

My house is always open. Of course Keith has the Mansion with his new
addition that should be done soon. It would be a good in the middle
place to meet with lots of places to ride within a short drive.

Of course I have a few places within miles of my house as well. Less
than 45 minutes from Uni.com:p No backyard trials course though.🙁

Keith is the one with all the riding experience and daughters who can
ride, so when it comes to competition I am along for the ride.😄 I
learned my lesson after Keith took me to school in Memphis... I believe
you took him to school on the Kentucky Muni weekend if I remember
correctly.😕 Plus, I have seen your videos, no competition.
Oh yea and since Keith took his spills, he is not as willing to take
risks. If he gets some pads it may be a different story.

When Jodie and Rhonda(Keiths wife) got together it was like old friends
getting together. It seemed like they would have had a better time if
we weren't around. 😉

Hey Bugs and Bill. Great pictures of the evening. I have been
exhausted from painting, then painting some more, so this is my first
chance to get on the web for a few minutes.

Like you Bugs, Rhonda, I and the girls kept saying, "Let's call Chad,
Jodie and Emily and see if they want to get together again?" But our
Saturday and Sunday were consumed with hours of painting and electrical
work. Rhonda and I were to tired to attempt any get together, the girls
were extremely disappointed.

We had a great time. Our girls loved Emily, and of course, we all loved
Jodie. Hope the Chad family, the Bill family, the Keith family and
others can get a fall camp/ride weekend planned.

Thanks for all the kind comments about my girls. They are awesome
(especially to me, right Chad?), I feel very blessed to call them mine.

Let us know when Emily starts riding. --chirokid--

Camping weekend? I'm in for sure, I know Caitlin is ready.... have to
see what my wife says. I'll be in touch.

Tonight Caitlin rode 8 feet backwards, her all time best. She also
ramped up onto a 5"+ pallet and dropped off the other side. That almost
doubles her best drop of 3". I know I'm not ready to double my biggest
drop. :eek:

My accomplishment tonight was to do accurate hops. On to a 4X4 and then
ride the 6 ft length. Hopping 20 - 24" across and onto the 4X4, front
and sideways. Hopping onto the 4X4 and then another gap of 24" onto a
pallet. Just a couple simple props, but loads of fun.

Bugs - I started to mount the brake lever on the seat post of my coker.
Just tinkering around and seeing how it will fit. Not the greatest, but
not bad. I'm thinking I'll be fabricating a T for the end of the lever.
But I'll set it up first and ride it a while and see how it feels.

And, it sounds like you are just getting too good for Bugs and I. Maybe
Chad and I will be forced to make it a "South Only" Muni Camp weekend.😄

Keep me informed of any uni-gatherings in east TN/north GA (etc.). We
are trying to get together another rendezvous here in the Delta, too.
We are thinking of trying to do somehting near the end of Sept. /
beginning of Octboerish. I'd love to see you all again.

Pick a date as soon as possible and I'll try to grab a few vacation days
and come down to ride with you. I haven't heard anything about a NJ
weekend (S Bridgeman) so it might be my turn to head south instead of
you coming up north. It's been too long since we've ridden together
Tommy.

Proud Papa note: Last night Caitlin increased her max drop from 5" to
10". She also did a 12" drop, but only rode 3' after the drop, so we
can't call it a clean drop. She also rode a 6' long, 3.5" wide skinny.
She'll be teaching me a few things in the near future.

Yes, it has been too long since we've ridden together.

Will do, regrading the rendezvous date.

I've been out of our local uni-loop for about three weeks due to the
NAUCC -and- a vacation but I'll be seeing my fellow MUCsters this
weekend and we will discuss the dates.

I just found out from Scott Bridgeman that he will not be organizing a
ride (New Jersey Inivitational MUni wkd) again this year. Looks like we
are going NEED a replacement ride for that event. Tommy, we'll let MUC
take the lead here and give you guys the room to pick the best date for
you. Then maybe I can look at a possibility of doing a weekend a little
further north also.

I'll throw this out to the other MUCsters, too. My suggestion is to
meet east of Memphis (closer to Chirokid) to pull in the folks from
Atlanta, NC & SC, Ohio River Valley, and points north. East Tennessee
(Knoxville) is almost 6 hours form us here in Memphis and that is about
a max range than most folks are willing to drive. Let's work-it. I'll
contact Eddie from the Plateau Uni Club, too, and get his advice and
suggestions on places. Anybody know anything abut southern Kentucky?

If you do south eastern Kentucky, it won't be too much over 6 hours for
me. Chirokid and I did Zilpo Recreation Area of Daniel Boone National
Forest and it took me 6.5 hours to get there. It was a nice area for
riding and had a nice campground. I don't know about hotels in the area
though. I'm sure there will be some folks who would rather do a hotel
instead of camping. As for me, camping is good, as long as there are
hot showers available.

Caitlin is going wild with trials riding! Big news is she rode a 24
foot long 4 X 4 skinny twice! She rode away from a 10" drop 3 times and
almost rode away from a 12" drop. She wants to learn hopping, but can
barely get the tire off the ground at present.

If I were doing doing pedal grabs, she'd probably pulling off 20"
platfoms in a week or two. but since I'm not, it may take a few months
for those. 😄

I went out on the Coker today and did 8 fairly hilly miles on the Coker.
I am going to have to fiddle around with the brake a little. The wire
is poking me a little in the right thigh, I guess I am occasionally
rubbing the arm too, though it almost seems to be hidden behing the big
cheese.😕 Anyway it didn't keep me from ridding as far as I
wanted. Actually further than I wanted. I really need to find the time
to ride a whole lot more than I have been. Maybe I should start getting
up at 5:00am like Tommy and get in some miles.:eek: Not likely. So
did you get your brake on yet?
