nice to know you're able to get out and about. I suspect short rides will be the norm for at least
another week until that wrist heals a little bit more.

Miles I assume you have a "fixed" cast at the moment.. as soon as they let you have a "soft" cast ,
have them shape it to the handlebars... that is what I did when i had a stress fracture... looked
funny but allowed me to ride.

Good to hear you are able to get back in a saddle (even if its not "the" saddle). Its a little cold
in Portland, too - 19 degrees (farenheit) at noon! Just 30 degrees below normal!

He's been temporarily relegated to the "roll" of roadie, that's all. Most people, after a fall like
that, would be house-bound for weeks if not months. (Then there's Tyler Hamilton, who rode almost
the entire TdF with a fractured collarbone -- pretty freakin' tough, IYAM!)

Same here. Except I ride my hybrid for distance training in the winter, on backroads and fireroads.
Then I take my boing boing another day and explore all those trails I see but have to pass up when
roading. Actually that's why I bought my Full sus bike last fall. I kept passing all those trails
when on my roadbike and I felt this really strong urge to take off and leave the road. I was also
fed up with having to watch out for traffic the whole time. I don't regret it a minute, apart from
the big hole in my bank account. No I don't regret that either. I consider it an investment in me
and my future and will gladly do it again and again.
