This morning, Vernon went out and marshalled the club open
team time trial. Lovely morning and where I was marshalling,
a skylark was overhead singing its little heart out the
entire time. Absolute bliss.
After lunch, Nathan & I went out for a bike ride together.
He's due to start sixth form in the autumn and his first
choice of educational establlishment is in Fakenham, so this
afternoon we cycled up to Fakenham - to the college & back
along the country lanes. We got caught in a heavy April
shower at Colkirk on the way back, so took refuge in the
shelter at the village playground. It was over very quickly
and we resumed the journey home. It was all very pleasant,
along country lanes, through quiet Norfolk villages. Lovely.
All in all, a day filled with lots of enjoyable cycling, one
way or another.
Cheers, helen s
