Now I can understand that for what it is the price may be seductive -
compelling, even - but are you really suggesting that it's seductive per se?

I would have thought that something that's scarce, or costly, or unusually
and extremely well designed, with high standards of workmanship and which
looks the business, or probably some combination of these, is what makes
something seductive. Now the Argos tent might be the bargain of bargains,
but seductive? Really Ian, you should have more ambition!

I don't even think my new MacPac Olympus is seductive, though I am
particularly pleased with it. However, my new cold weather sleeping bag
hasn't been tested yet - it's got to wait until I go to the Tetons,
Yellowstone and hopefully Glacier National Park in September, when I hope it
will keep me toasty warm, make me reluctant to leave and eager to return.
And in the unlikely event of me needing to get out quickly, lets hope it
allows me to exeunt and not be pursued by a bear...
