  1. Howdy folks.

In the annual BIKE magazine pictorial issue, there's an article on Tamarack
Resort north of Boise. We've talked about it, since it has some cool
trails, and the IMBA trail building commandos are building a lot more. The
present trails abut against hundreds of miles of old pack trails on BLM
land. Lots of downhill, a skills park, and endless xc trails.

Their plan is to be bigger and better than Whistler, and I guess only time
    will tell.

    Here's a website. http://www.tamarackidaho.com/html.php?id=87

Our (it's a "cabin", dammit, not a trailer) is being moved just across the
valley from Tamarack, so could be a perfect set up, given all the traveling
compromises and considerations that go into making McCall the location of
choice. This place is just half an hour south of McCall.

These are preliminary thoughts. Be thinking end of August, OK? Of
course, the cabins at Burghdorf Hot Springs north of McCall, in the real
boonies, are considerably more rustic, remote, and get my vote.

    truly a work in process.

I'm all for the water, and I'm just sick at losing our location to a
    government take over.

We can A) camp on the beach, or B) rent a cabin on the beach, which would
require advance payments from attendees so one of us could reserve a good
    spot well enough in advance.

We'll see how it goes. Lake cabins are fairly pricey to rent, but if Shaun
R comes all the way from U.K., and Jim and Carla return, they won't mind
    paying a little extra, heheeh.
