Does anyone have any experience with alternative saddles which do not have a nose like the Hobson saddle?
It seems most discomfort comes from the pressure the saddle exerts in the perineal region. I do not have any pain from regular saddles I am seeking something more comfortable and that does not exert pressure in the perineal area.
What are the disadvantages to saddles without a nose?
Had I neither nose nor hands the saddle would be the least of my problems.
I knew it would give confusion. Is "with both hands off the handle-bar" really the shortest way of saying it properly?
No that would just add to the confusion, wondering which bar you are actually handling. Maybe hands- free would be catchy in these days of communicating everywhere. Riding "hands free" would then imply "you are talking on your cell phone without holding on to the bike anywhere". "Hands busy" of course would mean you are talking on your cell phone without holding on to it because you can't let go of the bike due to the fact that your saddle doesn't have a nose and you have no balance whatsoever.
