Quoted message said:Sue in Texas has a problem. She obviously doesn't like traditional
medicine people (not to mention, lawyers, global corporations, insurance
companies, the Government, etc. etc.), so maybe it's time for you (Jan,
Dr. Ph.d, whoever) to step up to the plate & give her some concrete
ideas on how to cure her cancer since you're the experts. Where should
she go? What should she do? Now's the time to jump in.
As Sue is in Texas, the obvious way to go would seem to be the
Burzynski route, but Jan agrees with me that after 8,000 patients
Burzynski has yet to claim a single cure. He is therefore such an
abject failure that he is probably best avoided.
One needs to be very careful reading Peter Bowditch's posts. First he states
Burzynski is a quack because he claims to cure cancer, AIDS and autoimmune
diseases.
To those who don't know Jan, she is what is known as an absolute
concrete literalist. Unless Burzynski actually used the specific word
"cure", to her he has not claimed the ability cure anything. If he
says that he can make things all better, that is not using the word
"cure" and so he is not claiming a cure. This literalist nonsense
reached an apogee when Jan said that a book with the title "The Cure
for All Cancers" was not a claim to have a cure for cancer because it
did not contain the precise phrase "I can cure cancer". Jan will now
say that this thread is not about Hulda Clark. This is correct, and it
should not be because Dr Burzynski's research shows that Clark's ideas
are ridiculous.
Quoted message said:He didn't ,of course, Peter made it up.
8,000 patients and not one claimed cure. Sounds like failure to me.
Quoted message said:Then he states if he hasn't claimed a cure, he must be a failure.
Has he cured anyone? After 8,000 attempts without a cure, it is
certainly looking like failure.
Quoted message said:Peter also overlooks these facts:
(see his success rate at the bottom)
He is a member in good standing of the American and World Medical Associations,
The American Association for Cancer Research, The Society for Neuroscience, The
Texas Medical Association, The Academy of Medical Ethics, The Society for

City Medical Center in Houston.
Jan hates the AMA as it is a creation of Satan. (She will call me a
liar for saying that because she has never used the exact words "The
AMA is a creation of Satan".) As Dr Burzynski is a member in good
standing of the AMA, I assume he supports the AMA's position on, for
example, the safety of certain preservatives in vaccines.
Quoted message said:Dr. Burzynski received his M.D. degree from the Medical Academy of Lublin,
Poland, in 1967, where he was first in his class. That same year, he identified

of cancer. He subsequently earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry.
From 1970 to 1977, he served as a researcher and assistant professor at the
Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where his research was sponsored
and partially funded by the National Cancer Institute. In May 1977 he founded
the Burzynski Clinic in Houston where he has treated over 8,000 patients. He
also serves as director of the Burzynski Research Institute, where he

the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. He currently holds 160 patents

many articles and interviews.
I didn't overlook the fact that someone who claims to have "182
scientific publications" is only mentioned 9 times in Medline. Perhaps
his other 173 publications were in the paleontology literature.

Antineoplaston's astonishing success rate vs. standard treatments are
starkest with brain tumors. Burzynski has about a 65% response rate for all
types of brain cancers, whereas chemo and radiation achieve five-year cures in
less than 1% of all cases. Chemotherapeutic agents rarely reach the brain
(because of the "blood-brain barrier"😉 whereas antineoplastons do!
Antineoplastons have also proven dramatically effective against such
cancers as lymphomas (Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins), renal cell (kidney), hepatic
(liver), and breast.
Citations, please.
Quoted message said:That's why Peter calls him a quack and a failure. It appears his suuccess rate
is 64% greater than chemo and radiation.
His success rate is 64% greater than chemotherapy and radiation, but
in 8,000 patients he has never cured anyone. There appears to be some
inconsistency here.
Actually, if you read carefully he is claiming a 6,500% greater
success rate than chemotherapy or radiation. Surely there must be a
cure there somewhere. Oh, I forgot. He doesn't says "cure" so he can't
be doing it. What a pathetic failure. And he only charges $125,000 to
get into a "clinical trial". He could charge more if he had any
success.
Quoted message said:Does Peter care??
Yes, which is why I don't like to see desperate people robbed by
charlatans like Burzynski.
Quoted message said:Is he really concerned about curing cancer??
Yes, which is why I don't like to see desperate people robbed by
charlatans like Burzynski.
I know some people who have been cured of cancer. Their doctors are
quite happy to claim that they have cured people of cancer. Why would
someone who had treated 8,000 patients with techniques which are
6,500% better than conventional methods be so shy that he doesn't
claim to have cured anyone? Unless he hasn't cured anyone, of course.
Quoted message said:Organized medicine WantS to be RIGHT and wants to maintain EGO, is greedy for
the money.
Not that Burzynski would want to charge the parents of a 14 year old
girl with cancer $125,000 to get into his program. Not that Burzynski
would sell some plastic tubes which cost him $300 for $5,000. No, that
would be being greedy for the money.
And why wouldn't medicine want to be right? Is being wrong better?
Quoted message said:They have taken Burzynski to court, they have harassed him, and he was
vindicated.
Look at the time, money and aggravation spent in court that could be used for
further research.
Look at the time, money and aggravation that could have been spent
getting proper treatment, rather than spending time with someone who
can't even claim one success after 8,000 patients.
Quoted message said:This is EVIL!!
It certainly is. Theft, fraud and raising false hopes in desperate
people to assist the theft and fraud are evil. I'm glad we can agree
on something.
