If you are willing to spend the $$$ then get the Foes inferno with the
Maverick 150mm fork. I have a friend that has it built up to 26 lbs. and it
still climbs great. Plus the DH's are cool.

Other choices.. Iron Horse SGS, heckler, VENTANA El Chamuco....

Titus Switchblade. Don't own one, but it looks perfect according to your
description. I believe Sorni and a few others here have them.

Specialized Enduro Expert.... 5" front and back... just under 30 pounds....
has lockout front and rear... it rocks

The Specialized Enduro SX. 6" travel. (150mm) With a the new fox 36 fork.
Decent component spec. All for less that what you would pay for an
Ellsworth frame, and fork.

IMHO....
I previously owned a Specialized FSR, blah, blah. It sucked... I rode
the ID in MOAB on Porcupine Rim last October, really nice bike.

I just pulled the trigger on a Intense 5.5 EVP and, love it.. Also and
outstanding bike is a Yeti 575.

using mtbreview.com helped me allot...

Dont forget the Yeti 575, Sounds like it would fir your bill just fine. Plus
Yeti's are just plain cool.
