If it is the same as the Lidl Advent Calendar it provides a chocolate for
each day. Useful when walking in a blizzard.

Womens' waterproof and lined thinsulate trousers, saving my small harem
from the dreaded over-trouser. :-)

Every week I look at all the tools at give-away prices which I would
have bought 20 years ago. I am now thinking about giving some to my
daughter, as she now has her own house.....

I got a jumbo power tool case for my cordless drill and accessories
yesterday, to get rid of the cardboard box, and also got a string of six
penc Halloween sweet packets for the horrors who come around on Oct 31.

BTW, before looking in ALDI and LiDL for tools, it's also a good idea to
visit your local 'pound' shop. I could have saved myself a fortune if
I'd discovered them sooner.....

No, but I've got Lidl's self-inflating double ditto. It's heavy;
it's bulky; there is no way it would *ever* fit in any rucksack
known to man, let alone woman. But take it straight from the car
to the tent and insert 'twixt groundsheet and T-Rest or
equivalent... and it's Heaven.

Oh yes indeedy. I often find stuff therein - but OTOH it's wise
to look very carefully and be prepared for things not being quite
as good as they might otherwise be. Then again, I've not had too
many disasters and for a quid... well, what do you expect?

The tent scares me.

The tent looks very like the one I bought from Lidl not so long
back. It made its maiden voyage to the last urw Expedition, and
was fine.
