Airlines & bikes

I don't know which airline. But from past experience, I
would highly recommend shipping it via UPS in advance to get
the insurance coverage. Airlines typically only will insure
up to $500 if anything happens to the bike. I found that out
the hard way. UPS shipping with insurance is actually
cheaper, and if you don't have a place to ship it to, any
UPS Store will hold it for you.

Most airlines have this information on their websites,
or their website will have a phone number that you can
call and ask.

Are you going with the bike? Or are you trying to ship the
bike alone? Do you have a destination in mind? Or do you
just want to ship it someplace to get rid of it? And where
are you starting from?
