From what I gather on the forums, I run my tire really high compared to
    my weight.

I think that people who run their tires low should give high pressure a
    try.

Another reason that I ride my tire with high pressure is that alot of
my trials obstacles (that I built) have skinny parts and corners.

you do run you tire really high compared to most.

you won't get as high. the tire compression helps you get high.
try jumping with a low preassure and then pump it up to 45-65 pounds of
preassure. you won't be able to get as high.

if you are gapping across skinnys then high is better because it will
help keep you from hitting the rim. for riding skinny's low preassure
is better because it will help you grip the skinny better

  3. I run my pressure at 18psi.

    I have a 24x 2.6 muni tyre with a 24 x 1.95 tube.

It feels different with the smaller tube but I find it really good for
muni and havent had any pinch flats with it either.

Trust me, I've experimented with my tire pressure for about 2 months. I
like it high. I've tried lower, and it feels terrible. I can get higher
with high pressure. If you've seen Lutz ride, notice how he really
pounds his prehops down. I've kinda taught myself to do prehops like
that, and I find that combining that with a higher pressure in my tire
helps me get higher than with low pressure. I can compress my tire very
well with this kind of prehop. Also without.

For gapping across skinnies a higher tire pressure is good like you
said to keep the rim off of the skinny. For riding skinnies, I've tried
both high and low pressures and I prefer higher pressure.

    It's all preference.

It helps a lot. I think 45 psi is more freestyle pressure than trial
pressure. I use 15 psi in MUning and even lower in trial/street and I
    weight about 125 pound.
