Just put a deposit down on Avanti Blade Comp.
Bicycle for: commuting, up to 1 week touring on made roads and rail
trails.
Initial thoughts: road type frame, or custom road type frame. Maybe
mtb.
Why not? Heavy, expensive. Fashion(?) dictates that flat bars are the
go. Decided to make the jump to the flat bar format.
Aluminium frame, will support both front and back panniers. Should be
faster than the heavy touring type thing. Feels about half the weight
of my old frame.
With luck should be back on the road Saturday.
See Avanti, all that late night consumer programming worked :-)

I'm not critical at all of the Cecil frame. It has done many, many
kilometers. I think this break is the aftermath of some extreme
"treatment" to overcome stuck seatpost. Repeated application of
blowtorch to this sort of frame is not such a smart idea. It lasted
about 18 months after this treatment.
Strangely, I didn't notice this until I got home.
