Ahhhhhh....

Ditto...7:00 am, at the trailhead 1400 feet above L.A. I'm
the first car here. 55 degrees, clear blue skies. Chug up to
inspiration point 4,714 feet in 1:08, stop and look over the
city to the ocean, and beyond to Catalina Island, 75 miles
away. I saw a bobcat here a few weeks ago, and several deer,
but nothing but squirrels and birds today.

Cruise downhill, awaiting my chocolate croissant at the
coffee house.

Then I think you're missing out on one of life's occasional
pleasures. The best sort of rain to run in is the unexpected
shower, the more torrential, the better. A steady drizzling
misty rain isn't too bad if it's not cold. The only time I
really don't like the rain is when I have to *start* a run
in the rain.

Ideally I'd like to run naked in the rain but the last time
I tried this I got complaints.

you just hate the rain because it frizzes your hair out.
REAL runners run in ANY weather. it's the wusses who back
out at the first sign of rain, or heat, or cold, or wind....
or mountain lions. buncha babies.

today i ran under a blazing sun with a 36 degree celcius
temp (32 plus the humidex). felt great.

right on.... er, not about the naked running... but about
running in the rain. i look forward to my first run in the
rain this year (hasn't happened yet). rain runs are among my
favourites.

I agree running in the rain is a blast unless it's been
