Anyone out there have some advice/recommendations on mini-pumps? Looking for something that can handle mostly minor stuff, such as topping off the pressure before or during a ride, up to 45 PSI. Don't neccesarily need something for full inflation from a flat, although a mini that can handle that would be great.

I've been using Mt Zefal DoubleShots for about three years now.
*Really* light, and seems to deliver more air per stroke than anything else I've tried. -- PeteCresswell

45 PSI ! Tire size? Your weight? Just curious.

I've spent most of my money on mountain biking and windsurfing. The rest I've just wasted.

Not the smallest or lightest, but I've been able to pump up a Stan's filled tire from empty:
Topeak Road Morph
Not the mountain morph! It's heavier and doesn't put out as much air as the road morph.

Call me lazy...floor pump in back of truck and Co2 for the trail.

I have two mini-pumps: Crank Bros with the pressure dial (high pressure/high volume "switcher" one) that was $25 and a "Schwinn" branded one I picked-up from Target or Wal-Mart or Kmart or... for $10 when I found I forgot my other one on a road trip quite a while ago. I prefer the Crank Bros., but truthfully the cheaper one works pretty damn well it just doesn't let you know what psi you have.

26 x 2.10 and 135. I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which :-). The bike's a hardtail. Much more pressure with my weight and the rear is bouncing like crazy. In fact, I've been running a bit less than that lately.
I run my tires at the same 35 psi most of the time.
One day, having nothing better to do, I drained a tire and counted the strokes of my little Zefal DoubleShot it took to get it back up to 35.... -- PeteCresswell

Thanks for all the input folks.

I think most of us here would tell you that 45 psi for a 135lb rider is about 10+ lbs too high.

I didn't want to say anything because I'm not that dedicated a rider.... but I'm 220 and run 35 psi.
In the beginning, I used to pump my tires up their max rated pressure and then some - suffering from the misapprehension that harder tires roll easier. Eventually it dawned on me that softer rolls better over uneven surfaces.
I make up for my weight (i.e. avoid rim damage/pinch flats) by using higher-volume tires. -- PeteCresswell
