Advice needed on new waterproof

Goretex boots and my feet still get pretty darn sweaty...

I need to buy a new one quite urgently and (being a last minute
shopper) I haven't left myself much time - I'm therefore a bit
restricted to stock in my local stores (Millets/Blacks/Cotswold
Outdoors) as I can't afford to wait for dotcom deliveries...

Any help would be much appreciated.

My Keela Pinnacle 3 jacket has done beautifully in the year I've had it:
3-layer material with well-protected waterproof zippers.

Paid £80 for it (£90 list price)

Sunday, it arrived first thing Tuesday and I saved £10. I must admit I
already knew what size I wanted as I had tried the same jacket on but none
of the shops had it in the colour I wanted.

Apologies for this 'me too' post, but how many 'which jacket posts do
we need?

My query is about sizing, specifically RAB's sizing for jackets and
trousers. I will be buying mail order since the only time I'm near
outdoor shops is passing through Bettws y Coed in a rush to get on
the hills.
I'm about on the cusp of small/medium. slightly built 5'6" 38 chest 30
waist.
Also any opinions on Latok v Bergen?

Pity you can't wait 'till Aldi have some more of their excellent & cheap
'Crane Sports' gear in.

I've got two Peter Storm Jackets and I can't fault either of them. One
is a lightweight jobby and is great for stuffing in the rucksack for
walks when it's not too cold. A snip at £25 .

I've also got a heavier Goretex type jacket which came with a zip out
fleece. It was reduced from £100 to £50. For 50 it's a damn good buy.
It's a little shorter than I'd like and hasn't got a wired hood, but
performed excellently when I climbed Ben Nevis in May in some rather
dreadful conditions.

Thanks all, although I'm reading this a bit late. On my way to Bognor
on Sunday I came across an Outdoors Direct store, and ended up buying a
Berghaus Aquafoil coat at a third off the RRP. It "just felt right"
and was the right price. Interestingly they had a top-of-the-range
Berghaus Goretex reduced from £250 to £100. I tried it but
absolutely hated it - far too tight round the bum (okay, maybe that's
my bum being big!) and horribly noisy whenever I moved. Just goes to
show...
