I will miss his voice on the tdf coverage next year- and [censored], he might've
missed out on THE BIGGEST story of his professional career by that.

was it 2001), when OLN took it over from ESPN.

Does anybody think RBR had anything to do with this?

All the endless complaining about those non bike racing professional
announcers the various networks have brought in has been going on
forever. Al Trautwig, Adrian (look at my tie) Karsten, Sam Posey,
Kirsten Gum, all those overly poetic idiots at CBS. Certainly the
complaints about their work gets back to them and their bosses. I
guess they must have some pretty tough hides to put up with the
criticism. As the saying goes, "there's no such thing as bad
publicity". To network management that means we are watching.

Of course there are others complaining besides RBR. And thanks, LAZ,
for pointing out many of us don't care to the point where we can't tell
the difference between Al & Adrian.

Adrian lost the dream job of spending a month in france working,
sentenced to the slammer. What else is going on we don't know about.
Probably fired from his job? Wife threaten to leave him? Diagnosed
with cancer? Hung by mobsters collecting gambling debts? Who can say
for sure.
