Adrian Chiles, the presenter of BBC 2's "Working Lunch" (1230-1300) weekdays is cycling on his Condor road bike Cardiff - Edinburgh- London (part of the route with a film crew). The reports will be today and all next week.
Yesterday had him cycling between businesses in the Welsh borders, but the final "plug" for his B+B overnight stop was pulled when the owner wouldn't let him have secure storage for his bike. Also, they interviewed this guy who charges for traffic to cross his bridge and bikes were charged 5p. Even though he doesn't look very fit he did really well at climbing - assuming it wasn't fiddled.

yes he looks fit, there is no reason for doing it on a bike other than why not? The Beeb told me he really did cycle and didn't just hop in the back of the van when the cameras were off - the production team seem to have found the whole thing very amusing.

I watched the first clip and it wasn't explained, other than the fact he was ashamed of his belly and man breasts. Maybe he thought he could slim down in work's time!
