  1. friggin allergies. I just about got ill from looking at Pete's pollen shots.
Pine pollen season is full bore...yellow clouds, layers of it cars, ponds.
I'm not sure whether riding and inhaling this stuff deeper into my lungs
makes any difference, I feel like such total [censored]. I did go for a road ride
yesterday and my body felt good from the exercise but I was still hacking
and choking for the rest of the day. I certainly didn't feel any worse for
    the ride...

I'm really aware of it becasue I was totally allergy symptom free for the
    duration of the Mexico trip.

So what's your approach.. suck it up and go any way? Drugs? Stay next to the
    air filter?

    I just deal with it.
If it gets to be too much then I resort to Benadryl or other antihistamines.

Just be sure someone says "Bless you" when you sneeze or you body mey be
    invaded by evil spirits.

I've been taking perscription Flonase the last couple of years. The
stuff works great, but it is quite expensive.

I had to get weekly shots for allergies when I was a kid, but the seemed to
go away after we moved from FL when I was around 8 or 9. Never had a
problem until I moved to SE VA two years ago. I knew something was wrong
when I kept getting sinus blocks on airplane flights. Doc put me on
zyrtec -- seems to do the trick with no recognizable side effets. But as
    they say....YMMV
