  1. Hi,

Has anyone got any ideas/sucess stories on Tendoitis rehab?

Ive tried all sorts but not got anywhere in a couple of years.
Although the pain subsides as soon as I run again it reoccurs.

I guess that althogh the inflamation dies down it reoccurs because I
am treating the symptons and not the cause.

I have tried orththotics, new trainers, increasing flexibility in my
    soleus. Nothing is really working.

    Any ideas?

    Later,

    Mick

I was able to solve the Achilles problems I had last winter by doing
eccentric contraction exercises. I haven't had any recurrence since.

Here's a link to a description (or google "Achilles eccentric
contraction exercise" for lots of others):

    http://www.pponline.co.uk/encyc/0031.htm

I stopped running for about six weeks, did the exercises diligently
twice a day, then resumed a regular running schedule. I still do the
exercises a couple of times a week just for maintenance.

    Good luck.

Be honest now, it was because Knebel touched your private areas,
right? It's ok, there are many support groups for the scores of his
    victims, so help is here.

Have you tried ART, Active Release Technique?

I've had a left calf/heel problem for years, and have tried
everything. The active release work has been painful, but it's also
taken care of the problem. Try: www.activerelease.com as a starting
    place.
