Yes I am new to the news group just having found it recently. I like to bike
but I also like to keep my gear with me. I sometimes so geocaching, check up
on my schedule on my pda, and such. I prefer to carry the gear on the bike
while I ride so I can stay in touch while biking. Now I know some people are
minimalists on the bike and I respect that. I just like to keep my gadgets
handy so that anywhere I am I can stay in touch and also have the tools to
keep informed or perhaps aid someone else. Some would call it a "souped up
setup" but I prefer to call it a tactical setup.

Please try to STAY ON TOPIC on the assessory bar mount and if you can't
offer any positive or constructive advice then please don't reply then. I
remember seeing at a bike shop abuot a year ago that they have a bike with
an extended extra accessory bar on the bike. The CSR told me that someone
came up with the idea to build a bike witht hat extra bar to hold the extra
gear. If memory serves me correctly, that bike was not cheap either. It was
about $1500 CDN I think. I'll have to check the bike shop out later when I'm
in the area.

Thank you. I do recall seeing pages like that before on my searches.
Interesting DIY setup. I'm considering taking the 3v/6W (I think it was
3v/6W if not then it's the other way around) dymano I have and running that
to a SLA battery so that when I'm biking I can charge the battery at the
same time then have a switch on the unit so that at night I can say hook
that charged battery to a HID setup light up things or perhaps make a
multiple plug setup allowing me to plug other devices in to run them if I'm
say camping or something. I like the battery in the bottle idea. I may
actually start that project but I'll probably use a quick connect connector
so if I wanted to take the battery offI don't have to remove the bike light
as well. I'll have to check the electronic store on that.

Run what you brung ... MRE heaters at night, M18's for day ... I am
sure he will have room on his bars for those.

And of course he should make room for a couple of AN-M8 HC's or M18's
for cover ... just incase the LZ is hot.
