At the last Snowdonia bash I was chuffed that I was so organised having all my kit packed and ready to go. I was chatting to Fran when I realised I didn't have my rimless specs on !!! Problem - the night before I had dangled them on a little loop inside my Inner tent. By now I had folded the Inner and rolled it up packed the whole lot away.
I did that with my clip-on sunnies this time. Rolled up in the inner pocket; nicely bent out of shape when I got home. :-(

I've done it more than once with my head-torch.. I put it in the inner pocket when I finish reading at night, and forget to take it out in the morning.

I have my spare, last, pair of glasses in the car, so that if anything happens to my varifocals, I can still drive.

On the ill-fated expedition to Braithwaite I managed to roll my tent up with a half full kettle of water still inside. The kettle survived the experience.
