A problem with Zipp 404 firecrest hub

Does the cassette lock ring clear the inside of the frame?

Does the largest gear (inside gear) clear the hub body/spokes?

IIRC, using a 10-speed cassette stack requires the use of the freehub body spacer, but don't take that to the bank. Zipp's website has the owner's manual online. You would be better served reading that than going by my memory.

Also, Zipp has a live chat function on their website for technical support.

Both things are clear - not touch.

Today a good technician placed a 0.3mm space ring (instead of another, diff. in width spacer that was there) and he thinks it should be alright now. let's see.. 🙂

Originally when I bought these 2012 wheels a few monts ago, they were with a Campy setup. the guy in the shop replaced hubs and possibly placed an incorrect space ring.. ? just a maybe

Something was causing the freehub body to drag. Whether an internal spacer or external behind-the-cassette spacer, only a hands-on inspection and teardown and knowing your manufacturer's specs could resolve it.
