Thank you very much, Hannah!
I did do the century. This is my second full century so far this year,
along with 0.78 and 0.84 centuries done, too (the 0.84 should have been my
second, but I got lost on the course and opted for 0.84 rather than 1.17
(the actual course was 105 miles, or a 1.05 century). I have several
metrics done but I don't count those. This one had a lot of climbing
(relatively, that is) but there was a lovely ride over Hartwell dam. I met
up with a nice lady from Atlanta on that part and we had a nice chat. Later
it got hot....cramps started at mile 50ish, but I rode through them. Hot
foot started up about mile 70ish, so those last 30 miles were painful.
Funny how as I hit 49 I can managed to enjoy pain and keep going back for
more!
When Sunday came I was back on LC and didn't bother with cake. I had some
dry-rub ribs that were wonderfully tender, as I like them. Had a big salad
too. And did movies! 🙂
I'm planning to go to Hawaii for a conference in a couple of weeks. I'm
looking for a cycling day tour over there now! 🙂
