  1. Instead of the usual being cut up, pushed into the kerb etc
etc, I had the "pleasure" of an ignorant car driver who
decided he needed to clean his windscreen at the very
instant I cam up behind in. The end result was a nice
faceful of chemicals. Obviously it would have been
impossible for him to wait an extra 10 seconds until I had
passed because that could be dangerous for him as it needed
cleaning right there and then. [censored].

Yuck. I was informed by a cager this morning that I should
    "get in my

junctions for about a quarter of a mile either in front or
    behind. Puzzling...

Sadly I couldn't think of a witty put-down at the time.

    Regards,

True. I was trying so hard to think of something cutting to
say that I missed the opportunity to say anything at all.

    Ah well.

Unfortunately the middle finger is usually the first thing
that springs to mind, but it does seem to be the spark that
    causes road rage.

Last time this happened to me it was immediately a van
overtook me having had to slow for all of, oh, 25m. I remain
utterly convinced that it was not just coincidence that he
had to wash the screen at preceisely that moment.

It was an AA van which I thought particularly apt.

Perhaps he was referring to the pavement?
