hiya, i was wondering if any one could help. I have just bought a giant rapid and ocerall i am very pleased with it! Although i seem to get some chain nose when in middle gears 5,6 and 7 although all the others are fine, i have only done around 200 miles on the bike so far! is the nose a worry and if so how do i go about fixing it? thankyou

You could use the barrel adjuster to fine-tune the rear derailleur cable tension, or if you have no idea what I just said then take it back to your bike store for the ~300 mile tuneup. Most stores that I've been to recommend this and will do it for free once the initial cable stretch has occurred.

Agree, or you could just search the net and find out how to do it, it's realy easy once you learn and quite handy to know to. Doesn't take long.

cheers! i will have a look! i have ordered a book for repairs etc, i feel it will be better to learn myself than keep having to fork out for rpairs. thanks for the tips

There are also DVD's you can buy that show you how to do it. Places Like Probikekit sell them online.
