It's about 92 days since I last saw that big round yellow thing in the
sky. Summer just isn't happening here - it's been rain and 60F
temperatures for the last couple of months. I had to cancel my trip down
to the Ardennes this weekend. I wouldn't count myself a fair weather
cyclist, but I'm not driving two hours each way to ride in the pissing
rain.

As for the recent British weather …
a) I'm unlikely to get dehydrated on long runs (but hypothermia could
be a problem)
b) it makes my decision to get disk brakes on my new(ish) bike look
inspired.

It's just not funny any more. It's that cold at the moment that I've taken
to wearing my snowboard jacket.

Dammit, you're right... I totally jinxed it!! The wind was blowing harsh...
a dust storm hit pretty hard... but then it was gone as quickly as it
arrived. Still no blasted rain... at least not in my town.

I'll try to be more subtle next time.
