9 speed chains that will work with Campy 10 speed?

I use KMC 9sp chains. They're slightly more narrow than either SRAM's
and Shimano's. Although you might want to correct me on the SRAM width.
It used to be that SRAM's 9 sp chains were 7.1mm wide, but that was
before they changed their model numbering scheme. Shimano 9sp chains
were 6.9mm wide and KMC's are 6.6mm wide. Interestingly, KMC's first
generation 10sp chains were also 6.6mm wide. Anyway, all of the 9sp
chains mentioned above have worked for me on my Campy 10sp drive train.
With no issues.

When I first converted, I rode with my old Sram 9-speed. Eventually I
got a Wippermann nickel 10-spd chain. The Sram 9 "worked", but things
seemed more quiet with the Wippermann.

CN-73, shimano 105 level of chains work. Sram are a wee bit too wide
but look arouind, there are '10s' chains in the same vicinity of 9s
chains in price, why not use the correct part?

found a lot of negative reviews about this company. Ideally I want to
spend around $20-$30 on a chain.

Look around, I'll bet you can find the really nice, 2006, Veloce 10s
chains around $30-really nice chain. Since you are going to use it for
3000 or so miles, I think the function of it is worth the price. I ride
200 miles a week, and even at that, it would last months..
