Dan is the best at 5spins. No doubt. Xav i've seen bust off something,
and I can do it on flat every once in awhile. (It's close enough to
look decent.) As for 7spins go, i know of know one to do it. Dan would
be closest. I want to do one this summer. I don't really have a chance
at being first, since spinning is NOT my speciality (I suck).

    p.s. eh... grammer, spelling, whatevv.

Xav does one on flat in vener.

  3. haha, yeah it does. He actually spins just over 360, and then just jumps
back for 540. I've slowed it down, cause I wasn't sure how much he was
    spinning. I was curious.

  4. I'm sure someone will land a 720 within the next year. I personally
think i'm pretty bad at spinning, so I know people could do a lot more
than me. I really wanted to land a 720 off a picnic table for Defect,
but whenever I tryed, the best I got was a really clean 540. Even
though I can 540 on flatground ok, the mechanics of spinning change a
bit when you go off a drop. Besides just the mental restrictions, it's
much harder to keep your body on it's vertical axis when trying to spin
a lot off a drop. Also much more of a challenge to spot your landing.

My problem with spinning is i'm not able to maintain a consistent spin
    that I think will be necessary to land a 720. When I 540 I am doing a
360 and then jerking the last 180 around (sort of the same as a late
180). Someone who has developed a more consistent spin should be able
    to pull out a 720.

I think that a rider who is pretty talented could land a 720 on flat or
off a small drop, especially if they were on a smaller 20" unicycle
with shorter cranks and less wide tire than a standard trials/street
unicycle. I think the Japanese style of freestyle riding might work
well in developing someone who could 720, i'm just not sure if any of
them have put effort into pulling off spins bigger than 360...

About what is a 540 and what isn't... I believe that pretty much if you
are taking off forward, spinning more than 360 and landing backwards it
is a "540" even if you aren't going the full 540 degrees. Some will be
better than others and ideally you want to get it perfect, but this is
the same as with any trick...

So you do a full 540?

In defect dan does a sharp 90 degree turn at the start and a little hop
at the end to get 540, theres nothing wrong with that, is still a 540.

It just seem like you are always putting Xav down.

They are the two best street riders around. If he can't put xav down
    no one can.

  7. true they are the two most respected street riders out there but they
each have their own street style... Shaun is like a "go big or go home"
rider always pushing the limits of his uni and testing the very fabric
or gravity. Xav on the other hand while equally impressive is more into
flatland and tech street. in my opinion they are both very skilled and
a joy to watch but i dont think you can class them in the same
    category. thats just my opinion.

That's about how I would put it too. I'm just saying they are both on
a different level than the large majority of us. Also without them
ripping on each other (doesn't seem to me that they really are) they
    may not get motivated.

I just realized I may be too drunk for that to seem intelligable.
    Sorry if it isn't.
