700x20c tyres

I used to ride 20s because I believed the [censored] about rolling resistance
and faster speeds.

When I switched to 23s I rode just as fast but it was noticeably more
comfy over bumpy surfaces, so I kept on using 23s. I run them at 120psi
so it's not exactly low pressure.

No idea if they're any good. Wear might be an issue since these are
apparently race tyres, but they're 700x20 and they're cheap 🙂

My favourite shop often has a pile of lightweight 20s out cheap (say $10
ea). Next time I need tyres I'll try some.

Still remember selling those 18mm Conti's GP's back in the early Nineties so
20mm still seem quite normal by comparison.We still carry both 19 & 20mm

With my conti GP's I ran 140-150psi (the tyre said up to 150). I just liked
the firmer feel. I also knew straight away if the tyre was going down.

I used an 18 once. Found it ran out of tread in half the time!
