Yes, you're WAY overdue for new ones -- I'm only 8 lbs
    less than I was
    in my last ones posted

Doesn't 8 pounds for you something like 6% of your body
weight dropped since you last posted pictures? I don't
think that "only" describes that progress :-)

Hmmm, I hadn't thought of it that way -- you're RIGHT! (And I was down
another half lb today (solid, no flickering :-)

Congrats on the 70 pounds gone! I recently passed 80, but it took me
much longer to get there than it took you. Good work!

Thank you! And congrats to YOU for your accomplishment! It takes a
long time for some of us, but it is SOOOOO worth it! In some ways, I
think it's better life-training for it to take a long time (frustrating
at times, but better in the long run). If I had lost all the weight
fairly quickly, then I might have been more likely to return to my
former bad eating habits. Not going to happen THIS time. It's truly a
    way of life now.

My time is up, and I hope it's not too late.
    Thanks You,

You're welcome :-) *I* thought it was too late, too, but I was WRONG.
In my case, the key to sticking to it was not the weight loss (although
it was that in the beginning and it is certainly a HUGE bonus) -- it's
because I FEEL so much better eating low-carb. The difference in how
much better I felt was like winning the lottery (which I imagine would
make me feel pretty good)! Even after two years, I'm still dazzled by
the difference in how much better I feel! If I'm even slightly tempted
by something high-carb, I quickly weigh the pros and cons of immediate
gratification vs ensuing digestive upset and potential overall crappy
feeling, and wanting to feel good wins out every time. It's not a
matter of deprivation -- I focus on what I CAN eat. I think you have to
have felt like [censored] for a LONG time to truly appreciate the difference
and what it can mean to your outlook on life. After going low-carb I
think I now have an inkling of what it's like for people who just found
religion and why they can't shut up about it :-)

Another aspect is that I keep track of what I eat and the nutritional
value (in an Excel spreadsheet, but you can try Fitday.com). After a
while, you get a feel for what is the best bang for your buck,
nutritionally speaking. You see what kind of nutrients you are taking
in, what kind you might need to increase or decrease, etc., (sodium may
need decreasing, protein and fiber may need increasing, etc.). After
two years, I have a truly humbling appreciation for GOOD food and it's
impact on the body. In years past, I would have dismissed it's
    importance.

As far as hunger goes, if I'm hungry, I eat something (something with
fat in it is more likely to sate the appetite because it takes longer to
digest). That's the beauty of low-carb! I make better choices now
because I WANT to, not because I HAVE to. I would not have been able to
even comprehend that before going low-carb. It's a whole new mindset.

Trust me, if *I* can do it, you can too!

ABSOLUTELY (and thanks)! It would be great to lose it all at once, but
this way I a) have a deep appreciation for each and every new low
weight, b) have pretty well cemented my WOE for life, and c) have made
lots of new friends (and one or two foes) on ASDLC! Just discovering
and appreciating the true "goodness" of basic foods has been a VERY
valuable life lesson for me. Why spend time, money and health on crappy
processed foods when you can feast on what nature provides (as long as
someone ELSE harvests it, and with a few exceptions for things like
Splenda, erythritol, etc., of course :-)

Yup -- I'm in it for the long haul. I feel too good and know too much
to go back now :-) Looking good is an added bonus, too :-)

    Quoted message said:

    Any advice
or Words of Wisdom to pass on?

Yup -- see the tips I post each Sunday :-) Also, if you aren't losing
fast enough to suit you, just remember how you looked and felt when you
STARTED low-carbing. If you hadn't done anything about it, where would
you be NOW? Just stick with it and it WILL pay off -- in its OWN good
    time :-)
