Not even a hint of pain. The only person feeling pain is Doug Freese
because he is jealous of all my personal bests. I may be a loser but
at least my best running is ahead of me unlike you , DOUG!

You are correct your best running is in front of you. The question
remains, will you ever get past being stoopid in training to get there?
BTW, I never said you were a loser, a wussy or maybe ignorant and
definitely a troll.-DF

of time. Although I like this method better to build a base it's up
to you. I'd suggest it but my background on galloway is a little
weak. I do think the galloway is great for runners to get started. -

Take the advice of everyone Doug's ruined before you, and just buy a

minutes continuously when I started the galloway method. It seems to
be less stressful on my legs so maybe I can get more running in this
way without hurting myself. One benefit of the galloway method might
be that it allows you to warm up better. Im realizing that I have to
run slower and easier if I want to build up a base and not hurt
myself. I come from mountain climbing discipline where your lungs and
everything hurt on every hike so I guess i assumed running should be
like that. -

I do agree with most of what you say. I hope some day to be a great
runner. -

Show me a sport that suggests you do every workout balls to the wall.
Without rest you don't get stonger and continue to tear down.-DF

The expression "go with the flow" fits running. Even the kitsch "zone" fits,
but you have to challenge that a bit at times. And as Doug says, rest. Indeed, training NEVER improved anyone. It is the
recovery from training that does that.Tomasso.

So far I've been going nonstop for more than 3 and a half decades
using the Galloway method, interrupting my daily bouts of activity
with nightly recovery sleeps. In my entire lifetime, not once has my
heart stopped, nor have I ever been completely still. That's
endurance, boys and girls! -
