  1. What do you think the 5 worst unicycles out there are? Please list from
worst (at top) to better but still bad (at bottom). Thanks!

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a
capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

  6. homemade unis
    Savages
Savage clones (all with different names, but essentially the same
    thing)

Some of the older unicyclists could give you a list of crappy types that
haven't been manufactured for years now because they were so bad.

when i replaced the frame and bearings with a lovley shiny nimbus frame
    and DECENT bearings!

  10. HELLO....

The Savage is a Cadillac compared to the lowly Troxel. Haven't you guys
    ever seen one of those?

    http://tinyurl.com/pn68

I don't know if unicycles like this are still out there, but I bet they
are. You Savage riders have nothing to complain about. However, I think
the white plastic seat on my old Troxel will do less damage to your legs
    than a dented-up Savage seat!

  11. Seems like a lot on that unicycling.org page would qualify. But I'm sure
any Wal-Mart unicycles would qualify also, and most of us wouldn't be
    familiar with those. I hope.

  12. Nope, the Troxel is far-and-away the ickiest one of the lot (on this
page: http://tinyurl.com/2gp9). The Savage is not even close, and all
the others are much better pieces of hardware.

I haven't seen what they have at Wal-Mart these days. It could be
today's version of the Troxel. Sears, Montgomery Ward, and other big
chains offered the Troxel and similar in the 70s and 80s. If you look at
Troxel's product line, you'll see why their unicycles are so inferior to
the ones sold by bicycle companies.

So a Wal-Mart unicycle is probably made by a third-party company, though
it may not be labeled on the product.

If you really want one, John, look on ebay. One pops up every once in a
