on every road downhill, no matter the surface, the decline %, temp, bike etc... i always seem to max out at within a few tenths of a mph of 47.5 mph. while i'm not really concerned about breaking thru this fairly respectable barrier, i do find it sorta intriguing. i dont know the physics of downhilling all that well, but does ones weight and shape* put some kind of speed limit on ones downhill speed?
*i'm 5-10 165-170, very athletic, and probably a little more solid in the upper body than most cyclists.
