Mike Ford is a gun....3.17 is absolutely world class for a junior.
World class or world best?? lol. i think we get the picture on Michael Ford. Anybody who is faster than Brad McGee at the same age is freakishly good. I think if u can do a time of about 3.30-3.35 on an indoor track you are in with a good shot at state level in Australia anyway. Outdoor it is probably closer to 3.45 Faster than this and you should keep training......you may have a future!
Correctamudo.....world's best!! 😄

Putting it into speed perspective, after allowing for a conservative 4 second time differential on the first lap of a 250m track a rider would have to average for the remaining 11 laps -
3.17 = 53.73 kph (33.39 mph)
3.35 = 49.31 kph (30.64 mph)
3.45 = 47.16 kph (29.31 mph)
