Rev up your sex drive

Port Elizabeth - Who would have guessed that sex, athletics and fitness
go hand in hand?
Those who find this difficult to believe must definitely be on the
lookout for the latest issue of the magazine, Runner's World.
Cassie Newnham, spokesperson for Runner's World, said the August
edition is dedicated to the fairer sex as Women's Day will be
celebrated on August 9.
"The main article, Love on the Run, is very daring and will prove how
sex can enhance a woman's performance on the athletics field," Newnham
said.
But it seems that the article may have many purposes, since it
emphasises that women who run also have a healthier sex drive than
unfit women.
Men do not seem to be as lucky and should rather abstain from any
improper acts before or on the day of an important race.
The article states that Gwen van Lingen, former Olympic athlete and
twice winner of the Two Oceans Marathon, found that sex had a positive
effect on her results.
Van Lingen said that sex was especially effective if it took place on
the day of a race.
The magazine recently had an opinion poll on its website where runners
were asked what effect running sessions had on their sex drive.
The findings in Runner's World show that 65% of the respondents said
running had a positive effect on their libidos.
Does any warm-blooded woman need any more encouragement to dust off her
running shoes and take to the road?
