Slightly different in the wheel department, I believe - rims/tyres
aren't interchangeable with their 700c cousins. As for the original
poster's question, I'd suggest maybe either Bike Dock in Northern
Ireland or Merlin in Lancashire, as their ranges seem to carry a heavy
bias towards MTB stuff, though I don't know if 29" MTBs have made much
of an impact on the market this side of the Atlantic. As a last resort,
Gary Fisher certainly do 29" bikes, so maybe contacting their UK
importer might be worth a shot re. suggested retailers?

No, it's a marketing term for a mountain bike with 700c wheels. I'm not
persuaded that there's any great benefit to them, but such things do
exist.

make that 622mm rims, there are 700C tyres upto 42mm but that is where a
a 29"er begins
