So I'm very new to cycling. I really want to start commuting to work everyday (5 days a week). It's a 11-12 mile ride to and from work. I'm on a budget, but I want something that's going to last me and something that I'm going to love. My commute would be mostly on paved trails. I've been looking at bikes at my LBS and I fell in love with a Cannondale CAAD8, but I honestly don't know how a road bike should actually feel. I have been keeping my eyes glued on craigslist and always looking for bikes. I've just came across one (2011 RALEIGH REVENIO 3.0) that I think might look like a good deal, but would like some opinions. I'm 5'9" and this post doesn't tell me the dimensions, is there a way I can find out? He says he can provide info that would help. If I can help with more information let me know what I can add and I will. I really appreciate it and I hope that some day I'll become very knowledgeable like many of you and be the one helping some one with their first buy! Thank you in advance. $500 for a hardly used Revenio 3 looks quite reasonable, but I'll bet this one was even too big for the original owner, who says he's 5'10". At 5'9" you should be looking at bikes in the 54-56 cm range, the larger end if your build is rangy and you have good posture. Check it out. There should be a size sticker on the seat tube. If not, measure the head tube, get back to us, and I'll tell you what size it is.

That deal isn't going to last long. I'd be all over that guy to get you the size ASAP so you can make a decision. I'd probably grab that as a rainy day/backup bike if it was of sale local to me.

Or measure the seat tube. center of bottom bracket to top edge. Either way I can interpolate.
