  1. Hey Guys,

    It's Been A While....

Well anyways, I just got the first hard copy information of the new Madone. That bike is sick as hell, I think I might just want to buy myself one of these babies. The new geometry, the frame integration, and all the perks are freakin awesome...

What do you guys think??? Gimmi some input here, im dying to know what you guys have to say.

  2. well i have a 07 madone 5.2 sl, which i bought a month ago for 2699.99. I thought that was perfect and dint need to be redone. I currently weigh about 213 and its a pretty good ride and i pass "out fitted" bikers and kept up with a guy who had a cervelo soloist carbon and was in very good shape (friends now). I do not know about the 08.

this is the exact bike i have, mine might be a bit bigger (58cm)

when i open up large images of both bikes, the only thing that looks different to me is the top tube and bottom tube of the frame. They seem to be shaped more in a more arrow design. The 08 madone sl pro im guessing will be listed at around 3500, but im not sure. Is the top tube and bottom tube more arrow worth an extra 1,000 dollars? With that price range of 3500, i would shift from the madone and look at the cervelo R3. Thats just my opinion, the reason i bought the 07 madone knowing the 08's were coming out was the price, 2700 for a full carbon frame+fork and some good tires and components, it was like a gift from god 😄.

  3. The toptube, bottem bracket, and seat post are all integrated into the frame.

  4. If I was light enough to perch my happy booty on a carbon bike, I would try the Cervelo Soloist before I ever picked up a Trek. Treks are nice, but I've got a feeling about the Soloist.

  5. looks like the current range of giants. Wont be replacing my 5200 with one, cant stand riding on compacts

  6. I don't like any of them at all, and with their paint scheme they like 2004? Giant bikes. The only Treks I like are the Pilot spa's, and I think the Madone title is overused.

To me, Trek is just another round tube bike. I'd rather ride my Kestrel or Cervelo.

  7. Hello, Not Related to the Madone but I have a question in relation to upgrading. I currently ride a 1984 Cinelli SLX with cheap campy group and wheels that are as old as the frame but it works, Now I just bought a 2004 Trek Team Time Trial Full carbon, I'll load it up with Dura ace and some carbon 38mm wheels and carbon tt bars. The question is Will I go faster? the cinelli aint a tt bike and I will be doing tri's and was wondering would it knock a significant anmount of time off my average 20ktt. Appreiciate any feedback.
