  1. It is always interesting to see what friends and colleagues outside of cycling thing of the pro kit. I did a very unscientific poll of about 20 friends whos interests range from playing poker to top level amateur tennis.

    This was really interesting, the number one and two kits were as follows;

    1. Rock Racing - the guys thought the green and black was above all else.
    2. Slipstream - the women really love the argyle.

    Astana finished third.
    Virtually non of my friends even selected the new CSC kit. The 2007 kit was so outstanding that I think someone made a huge mistake.

    Personally, after watching the Rock Racing commercial on Versus during the past few stages I also think that they look like rock stars in the slick black and green.

    Go figure.
    Joe

  2. I'll agree with you on both Rock Racing and CSC in that Rock Racing's design is awesome and CSC's is rubbish and that last year's kit is SUPREME. I'm [censored] at the designer of the 08 kit.

  3. The RR kicks are unbelievably bad-ass. I've always told myself I'd never buy a black kit, but this is one I might have to fork over some cash for. Let's just hope Michael Ball doesn't charge $360 for it!

    I like the Slipstream kits, but I don't like them that much. Too much symmetry. The color scheme is cool, but the actual design is lacking. If you had participated in their jersey design contest, there were a bunch of kits that looked great that weren't even selected for the top 5 because of 'sublimation difficulties'. They could've done better.

    Gotta give Astana some credit. They made lemonade out of those sour colors.

    High Road's jerseys are [censored]. 🙁

  4. I own the 07 CSC jersey and I think its the coolest theres ever been. I wish Cipo had some exciting tt suit for tour of california. The 08 CSC jersey makes me want to throw up.=The Astana jerseys arent that great either. You cannot blame high road, they just need a sponsor (starbucks pro cycling anyone?) Liquigas changed theirs from those stripes on the crotch to something a little more refined. Quick-Step looks good, but a little unoriginal. I don't really like the new Healthnet jerseys.

  5. I thought Bissell's were pretty clever...subdued and smart. Jelly Belly's were an eyesore as per last years...

    I dug Leipheimer's National Champion kit...VeloNews called it Evel Kneivelish, which is a good thing I think, but I still like it. Actually I thought most of national champion's kits were very well designed.

    I miss the T-mobile kit in the peleton...it was classic. never seemed to change.

    I too have to admit to liking Rock Racing's kit. It is all over the place...

  6. I found Capo jersey more light and while you get speed more than 70Km per hour it gives more dynamic as well.
